Anaheim Ducks Western Conference Quarterfinal Playofff tickets on Sale Saturday!

I just received the following press release from the Anaheim Ducks:

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that playoff tickets for Anaheim’s 2011 Western Conference Quarterfinal series home games will go on sale this Saturday, April 2 at noon. Tickets may be purchased online at AnaheimDucks.com, or by phone with Ticketmaster at (714) 703-2545. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Honda Center Box Office. All potential first round home games (up to four) will go on sale Saturday. There is no ticket limit per game in the first round. Tickets will be sold at the box office on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individual game tickets for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at Honda Center start at as low as $22 (including facility fee). Prices for all four potential first round home games have been reduced by over 20% in comparison to first round ticket prices in 2009 (last Ducks playoff appearance). By placing a deposit on a full, half or mini season ticket plan for the 2011-12 regular season, fans will have the ability to purchase a 2011 Stanley Cup Playoff ticket strip for a discounted rate, guaranteeing a seat for every home game throughout the postseason. The 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs will begin on Wednesday, April 13. The top eight teams in each NHL conference qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Ducks are looking to qualify for the postseason for the fifth time in six years.

Anaheim is currently in sixth place in the Western Conference with 93 points (44-28-5) and has won seven of its last eight contests (7-1-0), and nine of 11 (9-2-0). With five regular season games remaining (three at home, two on the road), the Ducks’ 44 wins mark the third-most in club history (47 in 2007-08, 48 in 2006-07). Anaheim faces San Jose on Saturday, Apr. 2 to close out a two-game road trip that began last night in Calgary (4-2 win). The Ducks return home for Sunday’s contest (Apr. 3) vs. Dallas at Honda Center (5:05 p.m.). Teemu Selanne Notches Yet Another Career Distinction!

Teemu Selanne is the first player in NHL history with four score-tying goals in the final 3:00 of the third period in one season. Selanne has scored all four such goals (all in the last 2:07 of the third) over the last 18 games, including each of the last two contests. The Ducks won all four games in overtime. Canadian Police Open Criminal Investigation into Chara Hit

It hurts me to watch this hit, but there was nothing dirty about it as far as I can see, and the league seems to agree with that. Although Max Pacioretty say he is disappointed with the NHL for not suspending Zdeno Chara for the delivery of insta-pain, Pacioretty says he does not want the police to investigate Chara.
