Heartbroken for Newtown

The tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut is on everyone’s mind this week. This morning the photos of many of the 20 children who were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School have been broadcast on television. As a father of three daughters, it is hard for me to hold it together when I see those 6 year-old souls who were lost, and then try to imagine what their parents and other relatives must be going through this morning, and what they will endure for years to come. What should be done to avoid a repeat of this horrific event? Sure, let’s have a dialogue on automatic weapons. There must be plenty of constructive ideas from pro-gun and pro-gun control advocates alike.  But there are other issues that I think we should also discuss.  As a society, have we lost our respect …
